Security and data

What data we use, what for and for how long

A page written so that a school head, an IT director and a parent understand it the same way.

Our commitment

We comply with the law of every country where we work

Lernix respects and complies with the personal data protection regulations that apply in each country, including the special rules for student data and data of minors. We sign a data processing agreement with each institution.

Who owns the data

The institution. Lernix processes it only on the institution's behalf and for the contracted service.

What data we use

From the teacher: name, email and classes. From the student: name or ID, class, assignments, conversations with the agent and grades. If the student uses voice, also the audio of the conversation.

What we use it for

Only so the agent can converse, the teacher can review and the institution can see the results.

AI training

We don't train AI models on personal data, and neither do our providers: we have signed data processing agreements with them that prevent it.

For how long

We control how long each piece of data is kept according to its use, with automatic anonymization or deletion. The audio of voice conversations is kept for one year.

Underage students

They use the agent with the consent of their parents or guardians, as the law of each country requires.

Health data

We don't ask for or store diagnoses. The teacher chooses the pace and format settings without recording the reason.

Who can see what

Teachers see what belongs to their classes, and leadership sees the results according to the permissions the institution defines. The Lernix team accesses data only to provide support.

Data processing agreement

Available to review before signing. Ask for it in the first meeting.
